Top 10 tips to stay organized while flying with small kids
You asked so here are my top 10 tips to stay organized while flying with small kids!

1. Have very low expectations. Seriously. Your kids pick up on your energy and if you're anxious, so are they.
2. Be kind to everyone around you. I am extra friendly to whoever I come in contact with at the airport. I'm a big believer in karma and you need all the good karma when traveling. We were upgraded for free to more legroom because of this tip.
3. Accept help. When my 4 year old fell asleep on the plane (20 minutes before landing), a sweet lady asked if she wanted help carrying her off the plane. I smiled and said, "Sure!". I couldn't have done it without her.
4. Get to the airport early... When you're not rushed, things are just better.
5. Strategic geer. We have this hand-me-down
Ultra Compact Lightweight Travel Stroller and could not have better things to stay about it.
My trusted baby carrier. I don't leave the house without this. I've used the same one for all three kids and it's still in perfect condition. And
this travel car seat is easy to use, lightweight and again, I've used it for all three kids. Finally, don't forget the
travel bag. Pro tip: Strollers and car seats are free to check but I only check the car seat and I use the stroller in the airport.
6. Devices and headphones (get
headphones with a splitter in case kids want to share a device).
7. Snacks, snacks and snacks.
8. Backpacks -- this is where the organizing comes in. Each child gets their own backpack with their own snacks and activities. As much as I wish my kids could pack their own backpack, you'll want to manage this chore and do it for them.
These are one of my favorite travel activities.
9. Activities (AKA distractions) -
eye stickers (have your kids stick eyes wherever they see a person's face in a magazine, thanks
@mammasociety for the idea!),
Brain Quest
and a basic coloring book with colored pencils are my go-to's.
10. Have larger items like diapers, wipes, non-perishable snacks (pretzels, pirates booty, etc.) shipped to your destination and have it waiting for you when you arrive. The less you can pack, the better.
