Moving Soon? My top 5 staging tips
Can you believe 2025 is less than six months away?
Preparing your home for “list ready" does not happen overnight. If you're thinking about putting your home on the market in the next 3-6 months, it's time to get serious.
I tell every client I work with, “do not take anything personal”. I know, easier said than done, but remember,
you are selling a house, not a home.
Here are my top 5 tips to get your home ready for sale plus product links to get you started!

# 1 Clean your house and windows
This applies to carpets, grout, tile, windows, doors, around faucets, shower door tracks, mirrors, scuffs on the walls, you get my point :) A really clean house sends the message to buyers (and inspectors and appraisers) that you took good care of your house which only helps you as the seller!
# 2 Declutter
Remove all personal items such as photos, career related things, personal collections as these are all potential distractions or detractions for Buyers.
# 3 Bathrooms say a lot
Wipe the floor around the toilet, keep the toilet lid down at all times. Get rid of the big 3 (scrubber, trash can, plunger). Use the under-sink area to store those items. Do not leave a plunger in any bathroom – it says, “there is something wrong with the plumbing” and that’s exactly what we do not want the potential buyer to think. And a shower caddy is perfect to keep your shower clear of shampoo/conditionar.
# 4 Pets
Remove all pet items for showings and photographs including food and water bowls, beds, and toys.
# 5 Change your light bulbs
You would be surprised how many times I see burnt out light bulbs and mismatched hues. There is a difference between cool and warm! This seems like such a small detail, but details matter when selling your home and this one makes a big difference.
